Hiring A Social Media Marketing Company Vs. SEO Companies

http://www.inkdoodle.ca

Here at www.inkdoodle.ca we seem to run into this question about 5-6 times a week, what’s the difference between SEO & Social Media Marketing? Just to provide a little background on Inkdoodle, our company started off as a pure print shop, offering speciality photo to substrate items such as canvas, metal prints and other wide format products. We transitioned into more of a digital online and offset print company for customers who wanted assistance with branding their company. This led to more opportunities with company branding, design, SEO and Social Media Marketing service in our local home town of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

When we hear this from customers, “What’s better SEO or SMM / Social Media Marketing”?  To make it simple and easy for our customers to understand,  SEO is a way of creating backlinks to get to your main money site. The term money site is your main company where you sell your products or services. So when it comes to SEO or search engine optimization the main key factor here is creating highly ranked backlinks or high authority domain links back to your website. For example if you could get your company website on a huge site like Google’s home page than image how many billions of subscribers would see your website. Or if you had a link on Microsofts very first home page, this would create a lot of backlink traffic to your site hence the word “backlink”. Now let’s be realistic, how hard would it be to do such a thing? Very!  So when it comes to most backlinking strategies, us SEO experts like to compare your top competitors who rank high in the google world and copy their strategy. We use tools to see which high ranking domains they’ve placed their links on and copy them. Then we perform this on 3-4 other competitors of yours to eventually get you up and above your competitors rankings.
So SEO is all about backlinking and now with social media marketing this is all about engaging your customers through content and visual images. Some of our customers get confused when building a social media marketing campaign and content, content is something easy , simple such as an article, a shared article an image on snapchat, an image on instagram , an image on pinterest or even a shared article on one of your favorite social networks. It could be even a retweet from one of your followers that land back to your Facebook page. When it does come to social media its all about content and consistency. Content and consistency of knowing what & who your audience are, what their about and what you think they would enjoy sharing or reading. Now when we say content make sure its relevant and not so much of trying to sell your product directly to your end users. This is a fast way of losing your audience and brand. When we say consistency a dead page or a page that isn’t updated daily will just not get ranked or boosted organically from the big social giants such as Facebook or Instagram or other smm’s.
Other forms of social media marketing could be paid Facebook adverting through their tool audience insight. A great tool to use as 75% of users the ages of 18-26 spend most of their time on social media and 83% of users 27-36 of age are on social media sites with most spending their time on Facebook and Instagram. With audience insight you can target a specific demographic age, population and other key metrics that really target your user to help establish a brand, offer a service and more. The only thing I wish we saw out there with Facebook marketing is some kind of split A/B testing to see what landing or lead page worked best for your organization. For this A/B testing we use clickfunnels.

Now to include the third most popular question we have is how much is your Social Media Marketing plans from Inkdoodle.ca or inkdoodle.com. We have basic start up packages that cost $99 for those who don’t have a social media account, wether it be Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and more. We design the page, content and provide a certain amount of followers per page. $99 is for one page. Packages go as high as $1500 for our most popular package which includes free business cards , brochures and a combination of flyers or branded folders. The reason why we provide the free option for stationary is because we can. We don’t outsource as we were born a traditional offset and digital print company so the cost to us is minimal, while helping our customers save on their print needs. So contact us for your social media marketing packages.

The cost in Toronto for having an in house social media marketing individual will cost more than $2500-$3000/month. If you look at the minimum wage of $11.40 or $12/hr times 40/week thats roughly $1900/month for wages alone. Then you’ll have to invest in social media marketing tools, hire a graphic designer to edit images, and 3-6 months of in house or external training in the social media marketing area.
So keep your costs low outsource your tasks to us! Let Inkdoodle handle your posts 3 times a day on all social media accounts for as low as $495/month. Packages vary as most of our customers go with a customized package.
